ODD FELLOWS’ LODGE

BUSINESS AT FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The Loyal Masterton Lodge of Odd Fellows held its usual meeting last night, presided over by Bro. F. Knowles. Dr. P. R. Cook notified lodge members that during his absence for three months, he had appointed Dr. H. Berney, 11 Te Ore Ore Road, as his locum tenens. Past Grands of the lodge werei invited to the Wellington Past Grands' meeting, when the Grand Secretary, Bro. A. G. Shrimpton, will give an address on the Social Security Act, as it effects Friendly Societies. The lodge will hold a dance at the Masonic Hall on election night, Saturday next. The committee is arranging to give election results as they come through. One new member was initiated into the order.
