WHAT’S WRONG WITH MASTERTON

(To the Editor.) Sir, —It is rumoured that, the Masterton Beautifying Society ' is going to cease working, not because it is short of finance, but because there is no enthusiasm in the town to keep it going. The work has fallen on the shoulders of the few while the many look on and find fault. A meeting, a public one, is being held next Tuesday night to consider the question. How many of out “live citizens” will be there? Will there be enough to keep the Society going? If not, may I ask the question, “What’s wrong with Masterton?” I am, etc, JOHN CITIZEN. Masterton, October 11.
