DANCE AND EUCHRE

LABOUR PARTY GATHERING. The fourth of a series of dance and euchre tournaments held by the Masterton branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held in the Y.M.C.A. last evening. Both halls were crowded and the social committee has every reason to be pleased with such a successful evening. The card prizes were won by Messrs D. Paltridge and G. Cornick and Mesdames J. Henderson and A. Vaughan. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Mr and Mrs McGifford. Music was supplied by Messrs Barnes Bros and Mr Longwood. Mr McGifford acted as M.C. Supper was served by a committee of Women’s Auxiliary members. The evening finished with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” and God Save the King.
