TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED (“Times-Age” Special) The Mauriceville Table Tennis Club decided its club championships on Wednesday evening. There was an upset in the final of the men's singles, the title being won by G. Fraser, who beat R. Clarke in the final. The other events resulted as was expected. The following are the results of the finals: — Men’s singles:—G. Fraser beat R. Clarke 18-21, 21-16, 22-20. Ladies’ singles: Miss J. McGovern beat Miss M. Kenny, 21-16, 21-18. Men’s doubles: —H. and N. Myers beat R. Clarke and W. Day, 18-21, 2115, 22-20. Combined doubles: —R. Clarke and Miss J. McGovern beat H. Myers and Miss A. McGovern, 17-21, 21-14, 21-8. The season will be brought to a close on October 20, when a combined doubles tournament will be held.
