FAREWELL FUNCTION

MRS A. HAWKE HONOURED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The ladies of South Featherston farewelled Mrs A. Hawke in the hall on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Hawke will leave shortly to reside in Palmerston North. Euchre was played, the winners being Mrs Rasmussen Senr. first, and Mrs L. Rasmussen second. Mrs A. Burt won the consolation prize. Two competitions were won by Miss E. Burt and Mrs A. Burt, respectively. Mrs G. Burt, on behalf of those present, asked Mrs Hawke to accept a silver cake basket with best wishes from her many friends.

Mrs Hawke suitably replied. The serving of afternoon tea brought the function to a close.
