MAHUNGA GOLF CLUB
ENJOYABLE BRIDGE PARTY. A very enjoyable bridge party was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs C. A. Burling, “Mahunga,” Akura, on Saturday night, the function having been organised by the ladies’ committee of the Mahunga Golf Club. Mrs Dickel was the winner of the ladies’ prize and Mr Mealing secured a like honoui' among the men. The consolation prizes went to Mrs Griffen and Mr W- Vowell. Mr J. G. McFarlane, on behalf of the golf club, thanked Mr and Mrs Burling for placing their home at the disposal of the club for the function. The ladies’ committee responsible for the arrangements were Mrs L. Roach, Mrs A. Ward, Miss M. Johnston and Miss I. Rudd.
