DRUIDS’ LODGE
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of Stonehenge Lodge was held in Masterton last night. There was a good attendance of brethren but a number of officers were away owing to illness. The lodge adjourned for two minutes out of respeot to the late Bro. J. C. Smith. Reports were received on those members who were on the sick funds* two of whom had been visited in the Masterton Hospital. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l5O 6s 9d were passed for payment. It was decided to thank Totara Lodge for postponing the ritual contest, and to endeavour to arrange a goodwill visit to them on the occasion of their half-yearly meeting. Regret was expressed at the departure of Bro. Fred Clarke to Stratford, and it was decided to place on record the appreciation of the lodge for the excellent services which he had rendered to the Order in Masterton and the Wairarapa district. . Bro. A. Newman was elected to represent the lodge on the Dispensary Board in place of Bro. Clarke. It was unanimously resolved that in future all lodge meetings commence at 8 p.m. for the duration of “summer time.”
