DRAMA LEAGUE
FESTIVAL AT MASTERTON. Tomorrow night the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan, as President of the Wairarapa British Drama League, will welcome the Adjudicator and the teams. The festival is being held in the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday and will begin promptly at 7.45 p.m. The programme has been arranged so that a varied entertainment will be presented each night. In addition to producers and teams who by their entries in previous years have established firmly the League in the Wairarapa, this year three new entries have been received. All the teams have worked hard at rehearsals and reports indicate that a high standard will be revealed when the curtain goes up tomorrow night. The adjudicator will comment on all the plays and on Wednesday at the conclusion of the festival she will give her decision. Seats may be reserved free at Mr Vivian Joseph’s. Patrons are requested to note that in fairness to the teams late-comers cannot be admitted while a play is in progress.
