MODERN DISPLAY
MERCHANDISING METHODS. An interesting and telling example of modern developments in the merchandising of foodstuffs may be seen in the Grocery Department of the W.F.C.A., Masterton, where a lowtemperature display and storage cabinet has been installed. Of white enamel, relieved by bands of chromium, the glass-fronted cabinet is striking in appearance and the fish, meats and other delicatessen products on display obviously retain their freshness perfectly. Heavily insulated doors opening from behind give access to the display part of the cabinet, while beneath a large storage space carries bulk stocks of perishable products. Approximately one-quarter of a ton of goods can be stored in this space. The operation of the mechanical parts is absolutely silent and the whole cabinet makes a most striking display in the depart —-nt.*
