A GIFT EVENING
BRIDE-ELECT HONOURED
A very enjoyable time was spent last evening at 'the residence of Mrs Albert Donald, Johnstone Street, Masterton, when she gave a gift party for Miss Joyce Madsen, who is to be mar-, ried shortly. Community singing was indulged in with Miss Iveson at the piano. Amusing competitions were won by Mesdames R. Donald and Madsen and Miss E. Kitchener. A large number of very useful gifts were received by the guest of honour. A dainty supper was done full justice to. These present were Misses E. Kitchener, Heather Brown, Hazel Bell, Joan Smith, G. Taylor, E. Madsen, N. Smith, P. Madsen, J. Madsen, M. Iveson, Mesdames R. Donald, F. Madsen and A. Donald.
Mrs Bealing, of Feilding, tendered a kitchen tea at Masterton recently to Miss Madsen, when a large number of serviceable articles were given to the bride-elect.
