TIN HARE RACING

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. Further detail arrangements connected with the institution of tin hare racing in Masterton were discussed at a meeting of the committee last evening. It was reported that the cable for hauling the hare had been procured from Wanganui and that a starting box was being made to accommodate eight do£s. It would be fitted with automatic doors. Members of the committee expressed themselves as being well satisfied with the progress made and it was hoped to hold the first meeting on the Solway Showgrounds in November. The donation of a trophy by Mr J. Bradbury for the winner of the first event was announced.
