SIX BATTALIONS DRAFTED FROM SHANGHAI TRANSFER AT SHORT NOTICE GERMANS MOVE INTO JAPANESE CONCESSION By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) SHANGHAI, September 26. Six British battalions are being suddenly drafted to Hong Kong. The first Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders embarked on the cruiser Birmingham at four hours’ notice. It is believed that United States Marines will take over the British defence sectors in Shanghai. Most of the German residents are moving into the Japanese concession.
