Mr W. J. Morrell, chancellor of the Otago University, and Mr L. D. Ritchie, vice-chancellor, have been reappointed the university’s representatives on the senate of the University of New Zealand.
Sir George Elliot, who left for England about three years ago, is expected to return to New Zealand about the end of next month. He is at present on his way from South Africa to Sydney. Dr Graham Cowie, F.R.C.S. E., left London by air on Sunday, September 18, and is expected in Masterton early in October. He is accompanied by his wife. It is his intention to join his parents, Dr J. A. Cowie and Dr Helen Cowie, in practice in Masterton. During his two years abroad he has been doing post-graduate work at Edinburgh, London and Vienna. Dr J. A. Cowie is making rapid recovery from his recent illness.
