WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION. I MEETING IN MASTERTON. A meeting of the Wairarapa Women’s Hockey Association was held in Masterton last evening, Mr C. Spiers presiding. Mr G. Maloney, manager of the Wairarapa team which took part in the New Zealand tournament at Gisborne, reported on the Wairarapa team’s games. Mr Maloney also submitted several remits which would be beneficial for future tournaments. Mr Maloney was accorded a vote of thanks for the able manner in which he had carried out his duties. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Harding for his report on the Wel-lington-Wairarapa matches. It was decided to abandon the six-a-side tourney for Wairarapa clubs and bring the season to a close next Saturday. The Kia Ora Club was granted permission to play Wellington teams next Saturday, and the Kiwi Club were given permission to play a game with the Harriers. A vote of thanks was passed to the president for his untiring efforts, on behalf of the association during the season.
