HITLER INDICTED
POPULAR FRONT MANIFESTO DENUNCIATION OF METHODS IN GERMANY SUDETENS UNAWARE OF WHAT AWAITS THEM (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 20. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says thousands of householders have received a proclamation signed by the executive of the German Popular Front demanding peace and freedom to engage in honourable work instead.of war propaganda and exploitation. The proclamation goes on to denounce Hitler demanding on behalf of the Sudetens the rights he denies to Germans. The deprivation of freedom, brutal assaults and murders have been the daily programme of the Third Reich. Now Hitler demands freedom to enslave a further 31 millions, who don’t realise what awaits them. The Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent expresses the opinion that the proclamation undoubtedly expresses in clear terms the opinion of a large section of Germany.
