ARBITRATION PROPOSED.
ACCORDING TO UNCONFIRMED REPORT. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, September 20. The Exchange’s Prague correspondent says unconfirmed reports state that the Czech Note suggests that the matter be decided under the Treaty of Arbitration concluded between Czechoslovakia and Germany as part of the Locarno Treaty, which was reaffirmed by Germany on her reoccupation of the Rhineland. This means that the Czechs wish to submit the matter to any of the following bodies mentioned in that Treaty:— Firstly.—The International Committee of Arbitration at The Hague. .. Secondly.—A mixed commission, consisting of one German, one Czech, and three neutrals. Thirdly.—The Permanent Arbitration Commission.
