MASTERTON HOSPITAL

NEW MATRON APPOINTED TODAY. CHRISTCHURCH APPLICANT. At its meeting today, the Wairarapa Hospital Board appointed Miss M. Barnett, assistant Matron of the Christchurch Hospital, to the position of Matron at the ’Masterton Hospital. The present Matron, Miss K. I. Barnitt, retires on superannuation in November. The chairman. Mr H. H. Mawley, said there were eighteen applications for the position. The Health Department considered that the board was very fortunate in receiving such excellent applications.
