ICEFIELD HIGHWAY
NEW COLUMBIAN ATTRACTION. OTTAWA, Canada. The new Columbia Icefield Highway extending in the Canadian Rockies is attracting thousands of visitors from throughout the world. This famous Columbia icefield extends to a height in some places of 11,000 feet, sweeping down the canyons —relic of the age when colossal glaciers swept across the whole of North America. Besides innumerable motor tourists from the United States, large numbers of visitors from Great Britain, Continental Europe, and even from Australia have already motored over the new highway. From Lake Louise in the south, the highway extends to the now famous Bow Glaciers, Peyto Glacier and Mt Murchison. Hidden .away among these mountains are Bow and Waterfowl Lakes and Peyto Lakes. From the north, the glaciers are approached from Jasper National Park.
