BLUE EYES OR DARK?

(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln J.H.S.’s “Maori Memories” published in your paper of Thursday evening, and on one previous occasion, he stated that “most EuropeanMaori half-castes have blue eyes.” My own observation points to half-castes all having dark eyes. I can only remember seeing one with blue eyes. It would perhaps be interesting to your readers to have the opinions of others on this matter. —I- am, etc., MASTERTON, 1880. Masterton, September 19.
