CRIPPLED CHILDREN
WAIRARAPA EXECUTIVE MEETS. A special meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa Branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society was held yesterday afternoon to consider the appointment of a Welfare Officer for the purpose of visiting all crippled children in the Wairarapa district and obtaining full particulars of those children whose names are not already recorded on the Society’s register. It was considered that a personal visit by a Welfare Officer would enable the society to broaden the scope of its work. It was hoped that inquiries made during a proposed tour of the district would result in new cases being enrolled, thus extending the society’s activities. It was finally resolved to communicate with several qualified persons with the object of making an appointment to the position.
