PRAGNELL SHIELD MATCH (“Times-Age” Special) The Featherston Club was unsuccessful in its challenge for the Pragnell Shield on Thursday night. The holders (South Featherston) put a record score. The following are the scores:— Featherston —W. Johnson, 93; T. Browne, 94; H. Rolls, 94; A. Hodder, 98; C. J. Nix, 94; Miss J. Brash, 94; E. McKenzie, 96; K. McKenzie, 96; B. Williams, 93; A. Reed, 95, total, 947. South Featherston —A. Gain, 99; A. Yule, 97; R. Yule, 98; R. Jeyson, 98; M. Hodder, 98; J. Bain, 97; C. Bain, 100; L. Rasmussen, 97; L. Lumsden, 99; L. Hodder, 99; total, 982. The Pairs competition was won by L. Lumsden and A. Hodder. The South Featherston Club will wind up the season next Tuesday evening with a “choose your own start” competition. Euchre Party. The first of a series of euchre parties to be held by the Featherston Croquet Club, in aid of the funds of the club, took place at the residence of Mrs Saunders on Thursday. The prizes were won by Mrs Leslie (first) and Mrs Fairbrother (second). There will be aggregate prizes given at the end of the series. Personal. Miss Esma and June Card are spending the weekend in Masterton with Mrs A. Card.
