GREYTOWN
A ROUGH DAY (“Times-Age” Special.) Greytown experienced very heavy winds yesterday, reaching gale force at times, till about 11 p.m., when conditions became normal again. Golf Competitions. The Greytown will play the finals for the championship on Saturday. A nine hidden holes competition and L.G.U. medan round will also be played. The first round of Mr Feast’s trophy for eleven holes, the draw being: Miss J. Feast v Miss M. Wood, Miss B. Kiernan v Miss B. Jury. The following are the Greytown men’s teams to play Martinborough on Saturday:— A team at Greytown:—H. R. Feast, H. W. Feast, J. C. Feast, T. G. R. Ingley, B. Kiernan, E. Maddison, H. E. Webster, F. C. Bunny B team at Martinborough:—H. Bull, T. Gold, C. Stunell, N. McLeod, H. G. Carter, J. W. Tate, B. Haigh, A. G. Rhodes, A. Webster. Social Security Plan.
The rough night undoubtedly kept many people from attending the address given in the Town Hall last night by Dr McMillan, M.P., when he explained the Social Security plan. Dr McMillan was well received, and went fully into the measure, which he had helped to frame.
