GORDON BENNETT RACE

> POLISH BALLOON FALLS IN BULGARIA. (Recd This Day, 11.30 a.m.) SOFIA, September 14. In the Gordon Bennett balloon race the Polish balloon Lopp fell at Thoyan, in Northern Bulgaria, 1800 kilometres from the start, after a storm. The flyers are safe. A message from Brussels states the Lopp provisionally led in the race and landed at Thoyan after covering 1050 miles. Two out of 'nine starters have not been reported.
