PRISONERS PUNISHED
SENTENCES AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Malcolm Ross Kells, aged 27, was sentenced to eighteen months’ hard labour for breaking and entering and theft at Hastings. The Judge said the prisoner had qualified to be declared an habitual criminal, and if his offence had been more serious that course would have been taken. George William Arthur Henderson, a farm labourer, aged 25, was sentenced to three years in Borstal for attempted rape at Pahiatua.
