MILITARY AWARDS

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE IN PALESTINE. RUGBY, September 13. The “London Gazette” .announces that the King has approved the award for gallantry and distinguished service in Palestine of the Distinguished Service Order on Captain O. C. Wingate, Royal Artillery, of a bar to the Military Cross to Second-Lieutenant H. E. N. Bredin, and of the Military Cross to Second-Lieutenant J. A. Law, both of the Royal Ulster Rifles. The award to Second-Lieutenant Law is posthumous, as he died on September 9 from wounds received in action.
