BALLOON RACE
START MADE, FROM LIEGE , u ..COMPETITORS SWEPT TOWARDS.. GERMANY LIEGE, September 11. In the presence of 30,000 people the twenty-sixth Gordon Bennett balloon race started at 5 p.m. A westerly wind carried three French, two Belgian, three Polish, and one Swiss competitor towards Germany.
