BRITAIN OFFERS INCREASED GRANTS COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS GOING OUT (Recd This Day, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 12. A communiqffue announces that the Government offers to increase the annual defence grant to India by half-a-million sterling to two million, and offers a capital grant of five millions for the equipment of Indian military units. An Air Force committee of experts under Lord Chatfield is leaving in October to examine the Indian defences.
