JOHN L. LEWIS PLEDGES SUPPORT. MEXICO CITY, September 11. More than 50,000 delegates at the international peace congress here today rose cheering as John L. Lewis, president of the United Mine Workers of America, pledged the support of his labour organisation to the struggle against Fascism. Lewis declared: “Between us and Fascism there will never be peace. We join hands with workers throughout the world to fight against the common enemy.”
