RIVERSIDE CLUB. BOGEY ROUND RESULTS. The following were the best cards handed in for a bogey round played on Saturday:— Ladies. —Mrs Rawlins (winner); Mrs Beresford (5 down); Miss Walls (6 down). Men:—J. C. Bell (4 up); R. G. Henry (1 up); J. Claridge (1 down); D. Wellington (3 down); D. Costello (3 down). In the finals for the senior championship played during the weekend, Miss Bradley defeated Mrs Rawlins at the nineteenth, and J. Thornton defeated R. E. Baker 4 and 3. LADIES’ MATCH. BIDEFORD v. WHAREMOUKOU. A ladies’ match played at Bideford on Thursday last between the Wharemoukou and Bideford Golf clubs resulted in a draw. Detailed results are as follow, Bideford Club players mentioned first in every case: —Mrs Plummer beat Mrs Mulvaney; Mrs T. Falloon beat Mrs Gordon; Mrs Batty beat Mrs Kerslake; Miss J. Wrigley lost to Miss Dixon; Mrs W. Percy beat Miss Eton; Mrs Bell and Mrs Handyside all square; Mrs E. Wrigley lost to Mrs Towns; Mrs J. Donald lost to Mrs Broad; Miss M. Cooper lost to Mrs Pither.

HAWKE’S BAY CHAMPIONSHIP. WON BY H. J. LONGSTAFF. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, September 10. The holder of the Hawke’s Bay amateur golf championship, H. D. Brinsden (Titirangi), was beaten in the final of this year’s contest today by H. J. Longstaff, Napier, one up. In spite of unpleasant conditions both finalists played splendid golf, each registering 75 in the afternoon round. Considering' that rain fell both yesterday and today, the links at Waiohiki played remarkably well. At the conclusion of the tournament the prizes were presented by Mrs H. E. Troutbeck, wife of the captain of the Napier Golf Club, as follows:— Best aggregate gross score: A. A. Sinclair. Best net score first qualifying round: L. W. Willis. Best net score second qualifying round: 1 G. F. Barlow. Hawke’s Bay amateur championship: Winner, H. J. Longstaff; run-ner-up, H. D. Brinsden. Waiohiki handicap: Winner, K. Tareha; runner-up, A. D.
