TENFOLD DEMAND
BONDS TAKEN UP EAGERLY IN U.S.A. (Recd This Day. 10.25 a.m.) VZASHINGTON, September 11. The Treasury has announced that cash subscriptions aggregating 4,488,000,000 dollars have been received for 2| per cent bonds, more than eleven times the amount asked for and 3,051,000,000 dollars for 11-8 per cent bonds, which is ten times the amount sought.
