(“Times-Age” Special.) Personal. Mr and Mrs Howard Jackson have returned from a visit to Wanganui where Mr Jackson attended the dental conference. A Farmer Surprised. There was a very small attendance at the Carterton sale yesterday, the severe weather, preventing both vendors and buyers from attending. One farmer who brought pigs for the sale from past the Ruamahanga River, on the Lower Valley road, left home in fine weather, the rain only commencing when he was on the Kahutara Road. He was very surprised to see the volume of water that had fallen from there on to Carterton. No thunder or lightning was experienced in his locality. ,
