Miss Tiernan gained Britain’s lone match point today by beating Miss Orcutt, 2 and 1. The other scores were: Miss Vare beat Mrs Walker, 2 and 1; Miss Berg beat Miss Anderson, 1 up; Miss Page beat Mrs Holm, 6 and 5; Miss Miley beat Miss Corlett, 2and 1; Miss Glutting beat Miss Baird, 1 up.
