SHIPS TO PLANES
CALL ON NOTED BRITISH FIRM UTILISATION OF EXISTING ORGANISATION (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, September 9. The great shipbuilding firm of John Brown and Company is to build aeroplanes for the Royal Air Force. The resources of the big shipyard will be devoted to this purpose through the established concern of the Westland Aircraft Limited, in which the Brown Company has acquired a controlling interest.
