COSY THEATRE
“LADY OF SECRETS.” “Lady of Secrets,” Columbia’s new romantic drama, starring Ruth Chatterton, is now showing at the Cosy Theatre. A glance at the list of persons involved in the making of this film, gives one the feeling that its potentialities are many. First, of course, there is Miss Chatterton, whose return to the screen in “Lady of Secrets” immediately gives it a higher-than-ordinary rating. Otto Kruger, naturally, needs no send-off either. His capable acting since 1933, when he first invaded Hollywood, has made him a popular figure. Lionel Atwill has been royally entertaining audiences since his days on the English stage, whence he came. Lately, he has been seen in such films as “Captain Blood” and “Rendezvous.” Marion Marsh attracted wide attention with her performance in “Crime and Punishment.” Iloyd Nolan, a recent recruit from the stage, has been in “She Couldn’t Take It” and “One-Way Ticket,” among others. Robert Allen was Grace Moore’s leading man in “Love Me Forever,” and he has appeared in many other pictures. Also on this programme is a gripping drama of the underworld, “Guard That Girl,” starring Florence Rice and Robert Allen.
