ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

CADET DIVISION. DISTRICT COMPETITIONS. The annual Dominion and interdistrict cadet competitions were held at Wellington on Saturday last, 34 teams from all parts of New Zealand competing. A team from the local division comprising Corporal E. Grigg, D. Gray, W. Dell and Raymond McGovern, put up a very creditable performance by gaining second place in the Junior Championship Shield event, which was ■won by the Wellington Y.M.C.A. team.

The local team had the misfortune that, during their last week of training, ' one member of the original team selected to go to Wellington contracted measles and a substitute had to be found.
