Bergh broke through from the lineout and sent to Du Toit, who scored under the posts. Turner converting. Reynolds collided with Apsen and was absent from the field when Lochner broke away to score under the posts. Turner converted. The score at half-time was 10-0. , South Africa scored a minute after the resumption when Craven, from the blind side of the scrum and 30 yards from the British line, passed to Bester, who scored in the corner. The try was not converted. The South Africans frequently started splendid movements which the British team resisted grimly. Grieve made many fine saves.
