HOUSE RELAY RACE

MEMORIAL PARK ON TUESDAY.

The stock agents, solicitors and bankers will hold a relay race at the Memorial Park on Tuesday next. The following teams in the relay race have been thoroughly trained and are “in the pink.” The stock agents colours are “Wool and Dip,” the legal harriers colours are “Deeds and Whereas,” the legal sprinters colours are “Parchment and Pleadings,” the bank colours “Notes and Silver (Nothing in Reserve)”, “Simple Running Shoes and Bankers in Dungarees Barred.”

The race will be once round the Football Ground, all wagers and side bets must be made off the ground the only unlikely starter is “Bookie” who has done by Dog, and canned by Cain. Never before has such a mass of'grey matter, flesh and bone paced the Park. The sporting public are welcomed to come and see the “Stockies” sprint, the Bankers bounce and the Lawyers “Lie” and not forgetting the silver coin for the Plunket Society Fund.
