BAND CONCERT

Although in a musical sense the Masterton Municipal Band has never been better equipped to face a large audience, it has, with characteristic modesty called in heavy re-inforcements for the concert in the Opera House tomorrow evening. “Zara,” the well known illusionist, will appear in new acts. Mr Wales will contribute songs and the services of Mr Ray Foster have also been secured. Mr D. Wellington is recognised as a saxophone player of no mean ability. The Blue River orchestra will introduce the latest novelties. The band items will include (by request) “When the Merry-go-round Broke Down.” The concert will commence at 8.15 p.m. In order to defray expenses a collection will be taken at the door, and the circle will be reserved for those who donate one shilling.
