STOCK MARKET
FEILDING SALE HIGH PRICES FOR CATTLE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, September 2. Record high prices over a considerable period were paid for fat cattle at the Feilding stock sale today. There was an excellent demand for prime ox and heifer beef. One line of splendidly prime P.A.-Hereford cross heifers brought £l3 17s. A very steady demand for all stock met a rather small yarding, practically everything in the yards selling under the hammer. A considerably reduced offering of fat sheep was soon taken by the butchers with a slight appreciation ruling in the case of prime ewes and wethers. For store sheep more or less unchanged prices prevailed on a firm market. All beef cattle sold particularly well.
