STRIKES IN FRANCE
PROTESTS AGAINST WAGE CUTS. MANY TEXTILE WORKERS OUT. (Recd This Day, 9.25 a.m.) PARIS, September 1. Some 1,400 textile workers in the Somme Department are striking tomorrow as the result of a 19 per cent wage cut. Workers at Lille and Roubaix threaten to strike on September 8 unless their wages are increased by 12 per cent.
