SLY GROG SELLING
ACCUSED FINED £75. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 1. George Husband, married, aged 40, was fined a total of £75 on two charges of sly grog selling by Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., today. The police said that some young people who returned home the worse for liquor told their parents they had bought it from accused. Husband twice sold liquor to a constable, and when the premises were searched 20 gallons of beer, cider, stout and ale were found. The magistrate made an order for the confiscation, of the liquor.
