DANCE & EUCHRE
GATHERING IN Y.M.C.A. The dance and euchre tournament held under the auspices of the Masterton branch of the Labour Party at the Y.M.C.A. last evening attracted a good attendance. Many complimentary remarks were made concerning the floor of the new hall, which was in excellent condition for dancing. With good music supplied by Barnes’s Orchestra, a most enjoyable evening was spent by all who attended. The card winners were Mrs Matangi and Mr S. Kjar. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Mr/ Lehmstedt and Mr Franks. Mr R. Wilton acted as M.C. Extras were played by Mr Franks, and Mrs Oliver contributed two songs, which were greatly appreciated. The committee has decided to hold another function in a fortnight’s time.
