KING FOR A DAY

FATHER’S BIG MOMENT There was Adam. There was Solomon. There is Mr Dionne —famous fathers, all of them. But none will ever rank as high as Pater, Pop, the Old Man, the Guv’nor —or whatever other pet name we have for our particular father. That is why the institution of one day a year specially for honouring fathers, is becoming more and more popular. For Father is so often the most neglected member of the household. He is not susceptible to sentiment to the same degree as Mother, but no matter how brusque, how busy, or haw famous he may be —his sons and daughters are forever in his thoughts. So it is that Father should be honoured; so it is that Father's Day has been instituted.
