The “Daily Herald’s” Warsaw correspondent says: “Crashing into buildings with axes and crowbars, fifty yelling Nazis, intoxicated and wearing uniforms, blazed a trail of destruction in Jewish institutions, wrecked synagogues, tore up sacred scrolls, spat upon Bibles and smashed and burned furniture. The police, though they were informed, refused to interfere and the marauders escaped scot free.”
