Mrs Gardiner is a Petone visitor to ' Pahiatua. Miss M. Diamond, of Wellington, is visiting Pahiatua, Mrs L. A. Cunningham is a Masterton visitor to Wellington. Mrs D. Findlay, of Martinborough, is the guest of Mrs E. Le Forte, Masterton. A visitor to Greytown is Miss J. Laing, of “The Peaks,” Masterton, who is the guest of Mrs A. Gregor. Mrs A. Howell, Pahiatua, and Miss J. Howell, Masterton, are the guests of Mrs C. S. Howell, Stratford. Mr and Mrs B. Barttlet, of Napier, were in Masterton over the weekend for the Secord-Carpenter wedding. Mrs Richard Penny, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs Lord, Essex Street, Masterton, has returned to Blenheim. Mrs Coghill, who has been the guest of Mrs Trevor Beetham, Perry Street, Masterton, motored to Hawke’s Bay today. ■ ’ Mr and Mrs T. A. Brown, Masterton, have returned from Auckland, where they met Mr Brown’s sister, Mrs Sterricker. ■ Mr and Mrs F. J. Lewin and family, of Palmerston North, were visitors to Masterton for the weekend, and were also guests at the Williams-Tuohy ivedding at Carterton. Miss Beth Parkes, Feilding, and Miss Margaret Mules, Woodville, have been spending a few days with Mr and Mrs John Reynolds, Stanley Avenue, Palmerston North. At Greytown on Saturday night a coming-of-age party was given by Mr and Mrs C. Brown for their daughter, Mrs Mavis Dawson, of Masterton. A very enjoyable time was spent, several toasts being honoured. Mrs Dawson was the recipient of a large number of valuable presents. Mr and Mrs Beale (Hastings), Mr and Mrs H. Carpenter (Hastings), Mr and Mrs Mitchell (Hastings), Miss Walker (Hastings), Mr and Mrs H. E. : Ryman (Palmerston North), Mr and . Mrs H. E. Secord (Wanganui), Mrs Secord, Miss J. E. Secord (Wanganui) ‘ and Mr- G. F. Secord (Palmerston i North)- were visitors to Masterton over the weekend. ( • i ENGAGEMENT. J The engagement is announced of !
