MOTOR UNION

NORTH ISLAND CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAWERA, August 26. The annual conference of the North Island Motor Union opened in Hawera today, delegates being accorded a welcome by the Mayor, Mr J. E. Campbell. Mr- A. R. Grayson, Auckland, is presiding in the absence of Dr, E. E. Porritt, who is indisposed. Delegates from every association in the North Island and representatives of the South Island Motor Union, Main Highways Board, and subsidiary interests are attending the conference.
