GREYTOWN
DAIRY COMPANY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Greytcwn Co-operative Dairy ■ Co., Ltd., was held in the Fire Brigade Hall on Thursday evening. Mr O. A. Cadwallader (chairman) presided over a good attendance of suppliers. The annual report and balancesheet were adopted. , The report states that the new factory started operations for the last season on November -25, 1937. A total of 663 tons of cheese were manufactured last year. The average payout for the season was 15.677 d. There are 56 suppliers. The directors. for the year are Messrs O. A. Cadwallader (who was also re-elected chairman); G. McKenzie (who filled a vacancy by the retirement of Mr W. J. Feast owing to ill health), A. M. Haig, J. R. McNamara, F. V. Kempton,' H. T. Tilyard and L. J. Thompson. Mr L. H. Smart was re-appointed auditor. PERSONAL. The many friends of Mrs A. W. Horton (Mayoress) will regret to learn that she is indisposed. Miss Joyce Horton, of Nelson, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs A. W. Horton, East Street. Mr A. Harp, of the W.F.C.A. staff, Carterton, is relieving at the Greytown branch. TABLE TENNIS. The badge winners for this week were Mr A. Webster and Miss M. Carter.
