FAILING TO ACCOUNT
MAN PLACED ON PROBATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. George Henry Landymore, charged with failing to account for £lB 18s to the A.M.P. Society, pleaded guilty before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. The police stated that the accused was employed on a commission basis only. There was £l3 12s 6d owing, the remaining £5 12s 6d being part of commission. Accused on his own behalf, said he had actually lost £7 out of his own pocket. The remainder of the money had been in his possession since. The company had said that unless he had all the money paid in by a certain date there would be a police charge, and in view of the fact that it had to be all or nothing in the case of a charge, he decided to let it be nothing. Accused was placed on probation for twelve months, a condition being the repayment of £l3 5s lOd to the company.
