CHURCH SERVICES

♦— — A special service to receive the vicepresident of the conference will be held in the Methodist Church tomorrow evening, when the men of the church will assist in the conduct of the service and a fine men’s choir will lead the praise. The vice-president (Mr J. C. Tietjens, of Hamilton) will be the official speaker, and an outstanding service is anticipate s d. The preacher at the morning service will be Pastor C. H. Skuse, and the subject, “The Grace of God an Ever-active Power.” At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by the Rev Fred. J. Parker, while the evening service will be. in charge of Pastor C. H. Skuse, the subject being, “Discovering Diamonds in Dross.” The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. The special addresses that the Major has arranged to deliver will be timely messages for the times. Next Sunday the Army will be conducting their 54th anniversary services, when Major Armstrong and Commandant Clark will be the special speakers. All are heartily invited to the Army’s bright Gospel services.
