SOCIAL AFTERNOON

ST MATTHEW’S LADIES’ GUILD. The St Matthews’ Ladies’ Guild held an enjoyable social afternoon yesterday, there being a large attendance of members. An address was given by Mrs Max Cleghorn and the following contributed items: Mesdames E. J. Coleman and Bennett, piano duet; Miss T. Ruby, songs; and Mrs Cummings, incidental music. A music guessing competition was won by Mrs E. J. Burke and the best article costing not more than a shilling was a tatted tray cloth displayed by Miss Rockel. Afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.
